LITTLE MADIKWE HILLS PRIVATE CAMP

LITTLE MADIKWE HILLS consists of a private 2-bedroomed villa and two optional additional suites which form a completely private camp. Little Madikwe Hills can therefore accommodate a maximum of 8-9 guests (Rates for the additional suites are the same as the MADIKWE HILLS - MAIN CAMP rates). The villa is ideal for families with children under the age of 10 years, as the Main Camp is not geared for younger children.

TARIFFS ARE QUOTED: Inclusive of V.A.T. in South Africa Rands. Subject to availability.

TARIFFS CHANGES: All tariffs quoted are subject to change, without prior notice, however rates quoted for confirmed bookings will be honoured.

TARIFFS INCLUDE: Luxury accommodation. Laundry service. Two game drives per day. Three meals daily. All beverages excluding premier wines from our wine cellar. Tea & Coffee. Road transfer from the Madikwe Airstrip to the Lodge.

TARIFFS EXCLUDE: Curio shop purchases. Premiere wines from the wine cellar. Telephone calls. Lodge transfers. Airport Tax Tourism Levy of R 10-00 per person per night. Entry fees into reserve.

ACCOMMODATION: Eight large luxury air-conditioned suites, complete with private plunge pools, under-floor heating, mini-bar, fire places, outside showers, and great views. (Little Madikwe consists of the two-bedroomed Private Suite (and two additional suites as above). The combined camps can accommodate a maximum of twenty-four guests.

FACILITIES & ACTIVITIES: Open air veranda, lounge, bar and dining room, boma, a library, fully-equipped gym, massage sala, well stocked curio shop, fully stocked wine cellar, open vehicle game drives.

CHILDREN: Children 10 years and older are welcome at the Main Camp. Children under 10 years old can be accommodated in Little Madikwe, which is ideally suited to children of any age. Babysitters are available.

PAYMENT: Direct Bookings: A deposit of 25% of the total accommodation charge is required to confirm a provisional reservation and full payment is required 4 weeks prior to arrival. Tour-operators are required to prepay in full 4 weeks prior to arrival, unless otherwise arranged. There is a 5% surcharge on credit card payments for commissionable bookings. Extras may be settled in camp. We accept all credit cards except Diners Club.

FIFA WORLD CUP: Full pre-payment required of the total accommodation charge to confirm bookings during the period 01 June 2010 - 15 July 2010. Please note the full pre-paid amount is non-refundable.

GROUP RESERVATIONS: Should the reservations department require the accommodation that is being held by the group for the same dates, we will request the group to supply us with an immediate 25% non-refundable deposit.

CANCELLATIONS: Our cancellation policy is as follows:
Four weeks before arrival - 50% of full amount
Two weeks before arrival - 75% of full amount
One week or less - 100% of full amount.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: Guests may arrive any time from 12:00am, and rooms are to be vacated by 11:00am.

WHAT TO TAKE: Comfortable walking shoes, sun hat, sunglasses, sun block, cameras and binoculars, light, neutral coloured clothing, swimming costume, warm jackets are essential in winter (May - October).

DISTANCES: Johannesburg to Madikwe Hills via Zeerust / Abjaterskop Gate ± 4hours 30minutes drive (±330km).

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO LODGE: Via Zeerust / Abjaterskop Gate (Detailed map and directions supplied by reservations). Gates open at 06h00 and closes at 21h00. Entrance fee into the Madikwe Reserve by Road (subject to change): R 50-00 per adult & R 20-00 per child (Please settle in camp).

FLIGHT & AIR TRANSFERS & PRIVATE CHARTERS: Daily scheduled FEDERAL AIR flights from OR Tambo International Airport. Private charters are available on request. Road transfers available on request. Entrance fee into the Madikwe Reserve by Air (subject to change): R 100-00 per adult & R 40-00 per child (please settle in camp).
