I would like to share with you two of the best days in my guiding career. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
First things first. I welcomed back guests for the third time this year. The Lister family, great having you back. You had to come back a second time for Wild Dogs and now a third time for Leopard. Great commitment.
The past two days we have seen White Rhino by the dozens, Elephants by the hundreds, about 80 Buffalo, two prides of lion (one thirteen strong and the other twenty), we have seen the Wild Dogs two times and the puppies are getting so big and then we saw the absolute splender of a Leopard just out for a afternoon stroll. Not to forget about the smaller animals. Last night a Honey Badger joined as for dinner. This tenacious animal is a real joy to behold. Great bird sightings with all the migratory birds coming back. Big herds of Zebra and Giraffe returning too the open plains area where its beginning to get green again. I really wish all of you could have been here too share the same feelings that I have for nature and all these splendid animals.
Till next time, hope you enjoy the pictures.

This was the best sighting for me. This Leopard was very relaxed and was just wondering along the road before eventually slipping away in the thick bush.

Nice one Jacques. You make me jelous with that leopard. Keep up the good work!!!
I’m the little Lister left at home 🙁 I’m so pleased you had such a special sighting, I’m so sad I missed out. Wish I was there with my family and friends at Madikwe x
Whaw Jacques, great sightings! I agree with Jaco, that leopard sighting has me jealous. 🙂
Hi Jo.
We miss you and wish you were also here. Hope too see you soon.
P.S they will have to bring you back to see the Leopard.
Fabulous that Leopard!
Pity that I couldn’t see any in August.
Very nice pictures of the wild dogs, too!
Jacques, you are running fast to becoming a profi photographer. Will you?
Ciao e a presto from Italy
HI Silvia.
Haha, I dont know about that. I do it for the love of it and too show people the beauty of the South African bush.
You should come back, maybe we get lucky with leopard then.
Ciao
We think this is a kind of rule…you have to come to Madwike more than one time to see what you want to see. And as we missed both, the Leopard and the Wild Dogs, we will be back again next September. Other than that, great sightings and really phantastic pictures.
